Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and ensure a comfortable waiting area.
- Clinical Assistance: Assist providers with patient exams, taking vital signs (BP, HR, Temp), and recording medical histories.
- Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws and collect non-invasive specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, manage patient records in EHR systems, and handle insurance verification.
- Equipment Prep: Sterilize instruments, prepare treatment rooms, and restock supplies.
- Communication: Relay test results clearly to patients and coordinate referrals.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Interpersonal: Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and empathy.
- Professionalism: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
