What You Will Do:
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, empathetic, and eager to learn. You will assist in clinical and administrative duties that keep our clinic running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare exam rooms with necessary instruments and supplies before appointments.
- Vital Signs & History: Accurately measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, weight) and update patient medical histories.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers during examinations, draw blood for lab work, and perform basic point-of-care testing.
- Administrative Duties: Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, process referrals, and assist with billing and coding as needed.
- Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels of medical consumables and place orders to ensure clinic readiness.
- Compliance: Adhere to strict HIPAA guidelines and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is highly preferred.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
