Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions for emergency patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions per protocols
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system
- Provide patient/family education on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Participate in trauma activations and code blue responses
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license (or compact license with NY eligibility)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years ED or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Experience with Epic EMR and electronic documentation
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care
