Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify demographic information accurately upon check-in.
- Prepare examination rooms by arranging medical instruments and supplies.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Assist providers during examinations by handing instruments and providing patient education.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including blood draws and EKGs, following strict safety protocols.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) to ensure up-to-date and accurate documentation.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
