Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vitals.
- Clinical Support: Perform basic lab tests, EKGs, and administer injections as directed by physicians.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle insurance verification.
- Communication: Greet patients warmly, answer phones, and coordinate appointments to ensure smooth clinic flow.
- Inventory: Maintain stock of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring the exam rooms are always ready.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Licensure: Valid Minnesota Medical Assistant license.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
