Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, and vital sign monitoring
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during diagnostic procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications and immunizations following established protocols
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently
- Inventory medical supplies and maintain exam room readiness
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification and North Carolina MA registration
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and inventory management
