Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures with precision and professionalism
- Perform vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and basic lab tests with meticulous attention to detail
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision with strict adherence to protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records using our advanced EHR system ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Prepare exam rooms and medical equipment for seamless patient flow during overnight hours
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and post-care instructions with empathy
- Coordinate with emergency response teams during critical situations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Exceptional communication skills for patient interactions during night shifts
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes overnight
