Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake, vital sign measurements, and health assessments accurately and efficiently.
  • Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) including updating patient charts, scheduling appointments, and processing insurance referrals.
  • Perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures, including specimen collection and processing.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience during the night cycle.
  • Assist providers with procedures and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide basic health education as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and weekends as required.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar) is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently during the night shift.
  • Current Washington State nursing assistant or medical assistant license.
