Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital sign measurements, and health assessments accurately and efficiently.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) including updating patient charts, scheduling appointments, and processing insurance referrals.
- Perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures, including specimen collection and processing.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience during the night cycle.
- Assist providers with procedures and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide basic health education as needed.
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and weekends as required.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently during the night shift.
- Current Washington State nursing assistant or medical assistant license.
