Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, needs, and recovery progress by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians or authorized practitioners.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) and document changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-care instructions, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care and stabilization.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred (New graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
