Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management
- Handle insurance verification and billing processes
- Respond to patient inquiries with compassion and professionalism
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Ohio state certification and BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and EKG skills
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed
- Valid Ohio driver's license for occasional travel between sites
