Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in emergency, ICU, and medical-surgical units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Document patient records accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Mentor new staff and participate in continuous quality improvement
- Respond to critical situations with swift clinical judgment
- Adhere to JCAHO and state nursing regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN with 2+ years experience considered)
- 1+ years acute care experience
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
