Responsibilities
- Perform routine clinical tasks, including accurate measurement of vital signs, blood draws, and EKG administration.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Manage and update patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR) with strict confidentiality.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and state regulations.
- Maintain a sterile and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Handle incoming patient inquiries and triage situations with professionalism and urgency.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments during the night shift.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends as required by the department.
