Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient status to ensure optimal care outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including charting vital signs, medications, and patient responses.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations utilizing advanced life support protocols.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are welcome.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
