Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and prepare patients for examinations.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and other medications as directed by physicians.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate with the nursing and physician staff to ensure smooth daily operations during night hours.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and update medical histories.
- Assist with basic laboratory procedures and point-of-care testing.
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organized, and safe for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an urgent care or clinic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
