Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history reviews accurately.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and collect lab specimens as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in the EMR system.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to explain procedures and care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment during night shifts.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
