Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient vitals, medical history reviews, and physical examinations.
- Assist providers with clinical procedures, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and minor office surgeries.
- Manage patient intake and check-out processes efficiently.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment to maintain a sterile environment.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide clear instructions and education to patients regarding medications and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with the nursing and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced night shift environment.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
