Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and accurately obtain medical history and insurance information.
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor office procedures.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and height/weight.
- Prepare patients for examinations and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and document patient encounters accurately and timely.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups, referrals, and lab results.
- Answer telephones and triage patient inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts and holidays.
