Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital sign monitoring and EKGs
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Update electronic health records with accurate documentation
- Triage patient calls and coordinate care with on-call providers
- Manage inventory and restock medical supplies
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- New York State medical assistant license required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
