Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for visits, take vital signs, and update medical records
- Perform basic lab tests and EKGs under supervision
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communications
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Handle insurance verification and basic billing tasks
- Support clinic administrative functions as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a medical assistant certificate program preferred but not required
- Strong desire to learn and grow in healthcare
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn EHR systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
