Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and preliminary assessments
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocol
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up communications
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant diploma or certificate required
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Illinois Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
