Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in at the front desk, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with changing and positioning, and recording vital signs.
- Assist physicians and nurses during procedures by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urinalysis, under strict quality control standards.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; CMA or RMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Willingness to learn new medical protocols and use computerized medical equipment.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred; we will train the right candidate.
- Must be detail-oriented and adhere to all HIPAA compliance standards.
- Empathy and a professional demeanor are essential.
