Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications according to physician orders.
- Assess patient conditions and document accurate, timely medical records and nursing notes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate with ancillary departments for patient transfers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment while adhering to hospital safety protocols.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, specifically in an acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-stress, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as necessary.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts, holidays, and on-call duties.
