Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and escort them to examination rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with attire and positioning.
- Assist healthcare providers during clinical procedures and exams.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis or blood draws, following strict safety protocols.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) by updating patient information and documenting visit notes accurately.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and process insurance referrals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) is a plus but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with medical software.
- CPR and BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- A positive, patient-first attitude is essential.
