Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments.
- Prepare examination rooms by sanitizing equipment and arranging instruments.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
- Assist providers with basic medical procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Manage patient charts, update medical records, and ensure strict HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to verify benefits and process claims.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic computer proficiency is preferred.
- Must be willing to complete required training and certifications upon hire.
