Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and clinical status continuously, escalating critical issues to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital policy.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Missouri Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS and TNCC preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience (Medical-Surgical, ICU, or ER preferred).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards patients and families.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
