Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients, verify personal information, and prepare them for examinations.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist Providers: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist physicians and nurses during patient visits.
- Administrative Support: Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and updating medical records.
- Lab Work: Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring all safety and quality protocols are followed.
- Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws and administer injections as directed by the provider.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medication, diet, and follow-up care to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior medical experience is required. We are looking for candidates willing to learn.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
