What You Will Do
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive top-notch care. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Greet and Register Patients: Welcome patients to the clinic, verify demographics, and ensure accurate check-in procedures.
- Assist Providers: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist physicians and nurses during patient visits.
- Vital Signs & Measurements: Accurately measure and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Lab Support: Collect and process blood samples and other lab specimens following strict safety protocols.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage patient charts, schedule appointments, and handle phone inquiries professionally.
- Medication & Injection Support: Prepare medications for administration under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medications, diets, and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred, but not required for this entry-level position.
- Experience: No prior medical experience required. We provide on-the-job training.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform light physical tasks.
