Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify demographic information, and prepare them for examination.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and weight.
- Assistance: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Manage electronic health records (EHR), schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries professionally.
- Infection Control: Maintain a clean and sanitized clinical environment by sterilizing instruments and following strict hygiene protocols.
- Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws and point-of-care testing as directed by medical staff.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We provide training for the right candidates.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and patient comfort.
- Technical: Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn EHR software quickly.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform physical examinations.
- License: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred; willing to obtain.
