Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by physicians.
- Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and answer telephones in a professional manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized examination room environment.
- Assist with administrative duties, including billing, insurance coding, and patient registration.
- Collaborate with the nursing and administrative staff to ensure efficient hospital operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office suite and electronic health records).
