Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate vital signs, patient assessments, and prepare patients for examinations.
  • Assist providers with procedures, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and injections, following strict safety protocols.
  • Manage and maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) with a focus on accuracy and patient confidentiality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and addressing patient inquiries.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
  • Administer medications and perform point-of-care testing as directed by providers.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and chart management.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred; diploma/certificate from an accredited institution required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting (medical office or clinic preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
