Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs measurements, EKGs, and basic phlebotomy
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
- Schedule appointments and maintain organized patient documentation
- Assist with patient education regarding treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, sanitized, and ready for patient visits
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy protocols
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
