Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and prevent bedsores.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Observe and report changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized patient environment.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina CNA Certification required.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or acute care settings is preferred but not always required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull patients (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to document patient data accurately.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
