Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures as directed.
- Administer medications and injections as per physician orders.
- Manage patient records, including updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate with insurance companies for billing and claims processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Provide patient education regarding medications and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Proficient in medical software and computer systems.
- Must reside within the Houston metropolitan area.
