Responsibilities
- Greet patients and check them in at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vitals and updating medical histories.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws (phlebotomy) and EKGs, following strict protocols.
- Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and examination rooms to ensure infection control standards.
- Manage patient records and electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Adult/Infant/Child CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties in a busy clinical setting.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is highly preferred.
- Must be available for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
