Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and prepare them for examinations, ensuring a comfortable and professional environment.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and review patient information for accuracy.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during medical examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure strict hygiene standards.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses for any adverse reactions.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage patient records within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws or urine analysis, and assist with diagnostic procedures.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Valid Arizona State Medical Assistant license.
