Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) and patient health assessments.
- Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinic environment.
- Manage patient intake, registration, and insurance verification accurately.
- Perform basic lab tests, EKGs, and phlebotomy as required.
- Maintain and update patient medical records and charts in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) from an accredited institution is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
