Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs measurement, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring equipment sterilization and supplies availability
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Handle administrative tasks including billing coding and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- CPR certification and BLS certification required
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
