Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intakes, verify insurance information, and update medical records accurately in our EHR system.
- Measure vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and record data for physician review.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone and video calls to address inquiries and provide health education.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Strong computer literacy and ability to troubleshoot remote technology issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with high self-motivation.
- One to two years of clinical experience preferred.
