Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Administer medications and immunizations per protocols
- Maintain electronic health records with precision
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Assist with lab specimen processing and inventory management
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or CA state license)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification (AHA preferred)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and patient rapport skills
