Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, height, weight, and other routine measurements accurately.
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare them for examinations.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures as directed.
- Administer medications and injections under strict physician supervision.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring strict infection control standards.
- Handle patient intake, referrals, and prescription refill requests efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong computer literacy and EMR experience (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.
