Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Administer medications and vaccinations under physician supervision
- Perform vital sign checks and EKG procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Sterilize equipment and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up communications
- Assist with basic laboratory specimen collection
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Georgia medical assistant license
