Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures under supervision
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
- Perform basic clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy training
- Manage patient intake, electronic health records (EHR), and appointment scheduling
- Administer medications and injections following protocols
- Collect and prepare lab specimens for testing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior medical experience necessary – we train!
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn EHR systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during training)
- New York State Medical Assistant certification within 6 months of hire
