Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring equipment is sterile and ready for patient use
- Accurately document patient information in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and appointment coordination
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Handle administrative duties including billing, insurance verification, and coding
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
