Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately measure vital signs and document patient information in EHR systems
- Administer injections and medications per provider protocols
- Perform basic lab tests and collect specimens for laboratory analysis
- Manage inventory and sterilization of medical equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and handle insurance verification
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and patient waiting areas
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- Valid Texas state driver's license (if required for travel between sites)
