Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals and measurements (BP, weight, temperature, height).
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Coordinate patient schedules, manage incoming calls, and handle incoming correspondence.
- Provide patient education on medications, diets, and preventative care.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) required.
- Current Florida Medical Assistant license in good standing.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health records systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
