Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Administer injections, perform ECGs, and collect laboratory specimens
- Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Schedule appointments and manage clinic workflow efficiently
- Ensure sterile exam environments and proper inventory management
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office
- Michigan state medical assistant license
- Strong communication skills and cultural competence
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure clinical settings
- Background check and drug screen required
