Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and medical history assessments.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment before patient visits.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Manage front-office administrative duties including scheduling appointments and handling insurance verification.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
- Foster a welcoming and professional environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong proficiency in computer systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex medical information clearly.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
