Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during physical exams and minor procedures.
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient intake, including updating electronic health records (EHR) and verifying insurance information.
- Ensure a clean, sterile, and safe environment for all patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is a plus.
- Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
