Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical history.
- Assist Providers: Act as a scribe and support physician/nurse practitioners during exams, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Phlebotomy & Lab Work: Perform blood draws, urine collections, and EKGs accurately and efficiently in our on-site lab.
- Administrative Duties: Manage electronic health records (EHR), schedule appointments, and handle incoming calls with professionalism.
- Medication Management: Prepare medications for administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to sterilization protocols and safety guidelines to ensure a clean facility.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or NCMA certification required.
- Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Epic or Cerner EHR systems is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle physical exams.
