Responsibilities
- Greet patients and prepare them for examination by checking vitals and medical history.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform phlebotomy, administer injections, and conduct EKGs as required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure seamless care.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Manage front desk duties including appointment scheduling and patient intake.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR software.
